Description
While working through the largest Pipe network workflow, most of the places where we should follow the gentle slope or maintain levels between upstream and downstream would require more man-hours using the existing tools in Autodesk® Civil 3D®, thus resulting in a slow-down our productivity.
We witnessed that the rSlope application assist in the above-mentioned key aspects, making our work easier and increasing our productivity in particularly in larger networks.
About This Version
Version 1.0.1, 8/7/2023
Second release, updated 4.8 framework
Would like to be able to add in drops across pipes for sewers. Typically 0.10
Would love this to be available in 2023
edit: Working in 2023 and works decent. It appears however that the last pipe in a run is having the opposite slope applied. For example if I apply a starting elevation and a 0.5% slope, all pipes work fine and the last pipe will show -0.5%. If you fix this it would be a great tool. Thanks!
Hello Brandon, new version that is 2023 compatible.
Ony have to select 2 pipes and it changes the whole run, as long as they are connected.
However there is one issue that you have to watch out for. Sometimes, and it seems to do this only if there is a right angled connection between pipes but that is not fully confirmed, but it will flip the pipe so that the slope is negative (or positive if you use negative I have tried both ways) for just that pipe and then go back to normal. This means you have to quickly check the pipes to ensure the slope is the right way.
Developer, if you see this a fix would be awesome. I may try to look into the code myself when I get time.
Hi Jonahtan, Thanks for your feedback. If possible could you please share some more information like screenshots on the issues would be helpful.
I want to change this review because 1, the developer is very responsive, and 2 I already figured a better way to do the automatic labeling of the inverts using a variable that chooses the higher of the two elevations, so it does not actually matter. great app all around. btw Rajadurai, I will respond back as soon as I get a minute to look at it. thanks again for all your help
