This app allows you to more effectively and precisely use geometry imported from a mesh. Using this app you can cut sections through a mesh to create standard sketch geometry.
You can then use the sketch geometry to perform precise measurements and to do additional modeling.

I am not able to select mesh body even in the browser, Please suggest me an workaround and if i select the select option, intersect mesh body option is closing.
Works great. But on some stls it creates very much small zigzag lines .
It would be nice to have an detail level control or to define the level of detail.
Thanks for the plugin. It works well, but I think it has been to some degree superseeded by the built-in ability to "create mesh section sketch"? This function also creates a sketch with the intersection, that you can then subsequently fit e.g. with a spline. It does, though, take bit more work, but you then also get better / simpler results. To inprove the current it would be smart if you could automatically make planes with well-defined spacing and in one go create sketches and sections.
BTW, why do you have to select the sketch, when you also have to have the sketch active to create the intersection?
"why do you have to select the sketch" - it's an artefact from the previous behaviour of the API. When a command was started Fusion exited the Sketch environment and so the sketch needed to be selected, and the add-in did not get updated since.
On MacOS, after lauching the .pkg, accepted the licence and to install for myself... installation failed ... and I don't know why

Aw Smith, You have to select the sketch in the BROWSER palette before running the command. This is a redundant step (since you're already in the sketch) now since the command's button has been moved to the Sketch environment as a result of the new UI

This is really neat and works well. The only improvement I can think of would be multi-select a bunch of skectches or planes.
Couldn't you just hold down Ctrl/command?
Such a simple and great idea. All the time ive wasted trying to reverse engineer STLs by manually sketching them. Highly recommend!!!

Dear William, maybe you could help.... I have mesh geometry (decorative ornament) and need to give to it (looks like surface - but it is STL format ).... need change it to solid.... step/iges... is there any way how to do it in fusion 360 ? Many thanks for your time
