Descrizione
An Autodesk® Fusion® add-in that warns when features are created outside components. It also warns when creating a feature across components (It works if the reference feature is selected before creating the new feature).
A warning will be shown every time a new feature is created at the top-level or in the wrong component. At that point, the user can choose to either Cancel, Continue or Stop the warning messages for the current document session.

well done developer, this plugin has saved me loads of headache from starting my designs without creating a new component first! My hats off to you!
I have enjoyed this plugin for a while (why this isn't the default built-in behavior I will never understand!). However, part of the new "Intent Driven Design" in the latest release, the 'Part Design' concept seems to want you to no longer think like this and instead just use the top-level Component to do the work. I don't know how any of this works so I'm not sure if it'd be possible to differentiate which mode you're in, but if you do use that mode, this plugin warns when it shouldn't.

Hi Thomas, thank you for this great plugin! I have a question – would it be possible to extend it to warn me when creating a sketch outside the leaf components? Right now, it warns only when creating a sketch in the root one, right? But not if creating a sketch under B with the structure of Root > A > B > C.
Hi, I have added the functionality in version 1.2.0, but there is no user interface (much more work). Stop the add-in. Open the "Scripts and Add-ins" dialog, select the add-in, click "Open File Location". In that folder, create a text file called "settings.json" and write {"only_allow_leaf": true}. When do you make the most mistakes?
For me, it's when I am in a rush. Well this add-in reminds you...slow down and make that component first!

That should be a standard feature in Fusion 360. It is the most critical thing in Fusion to activate the right component before you create anything. This helps a lot in preventing mistakes that ruins your tree.

I cannot say how many "thousands" of times I'm deep into a design with snorkel and goggles on only to realize after an hour or two in "the zone" I've built an entire section out in random places! I cannot believe this is not THE most downloaded app for Fusion...and for the price of a cup of coffee.
