설명
Add-In for creating CNC-friendly box/finger joints.
Editable Feature
The Box Joint appears as a single Feature in the Timeline.
- The Box Joint Feature can be edited after creation just like any other built-in feature.
- The joint will be automatically recomputed if any of the dependent bodies earlier in the Timeline are changed.
CNC Friendly
The joint has been designed to be cuttable on a CNC machine.
- Can be cut flat from a single side on a 3-axis CNC machine.
- No voids are visible even though the inside corners are rounded.
Example Designs
I am trying this add in for the first time as it looks really useful. The add in seems to have been added to fusion properly as it shows up in my "modify" tab, but I can't get the feature to actually create the joints. The dialog option opens and allows me to change values, but won't actually show or create the joints.
Thats a very usefully plugin
Bonjour,
Merci de cette mise à disposition.
Bonne continuation.

It took a few minutes to figure it out but after watching the help video it clicked for me.
The only thing missing is kerf/tolerance adjustment. I can do this as an extra step with other tools but having it built in would take this to a 6 star add-in.
Hi, is it possible that i cannot find the function anymore since the big update? kind regards
I wanted to try this addon for first time, but joint button wont show up in menu.
I have reinstalled the Add-In with the latest version of Fusion, and it seems that Fusion no longer automatically runs Add-Ins when installed. To work around, please start the Add-In manually and enable the "Run At Startup" option. Go to the UTILITIES Workspace, ADD-INS tab, and "Scripts And Add-Ins" panel. Select the "Add-Ins" tab and select the BoxJoint Add-In. Enable the "Run At Startup" option. Click the Run button.
this add is super slick, and works well - one sorely lacking feature is an option to set a tolerance, or clearance amount - having these cut to a zero tolerance means you have to hammer them home in any sort of substancial material - this leaves no room for glue in 18mm plywood as an example.
Thanks for creating this awesome ad-in, it makes live so much easier when creating stuff for my laser cutter
A very useful and great plugin!
I had some troubles on the first usage. My part was too small for the default "min finger width" so just nothing happened and also no error was displayed. When I reduced the "min finger width" parameter everything worked perfectly. This as a note for other new users who may run into the same problem.
Initially (2-3 months ago) worked very well, unfortunately I'm no longer getting a prompt to define anything other than the sides I want to be joined together. Once fixed I'm sure it will be amazing. I have been using this with the tool diameter set to 0.00mm to make laser cut boxes. I then use DXF for laser to allow for the kerf.
I have recently updated the Box Joint add-in to be compatible with the latest Fusion version. Could you please check if you have the latest version (1.0.3) of the add-in. If you still have problems, I invite you to start a discussion at https://github.com/EvilHacker/BoxJoint/discussions so I can better understand the problem and how it can be fixed. Thanks.
A great, easy to use add in. cant ask for more. Unfortunately the add-in doesn't work with the newest update from fusion 360. Can't wait for the add-in to be updated.
Edit: Plug-in works again. Works very good and very easy
