iBuildList is like a SW cutlist, but it is sorted based entirely on the geometry of the body and does not consider material or appearance. The quantity is added to the end of each item label. It also includes a "Find in BuildList" feature similar to the Autodesk® Inventor® "Find in Browser" feature. There is also an “Export to Excel” option that includes each item and its quantity.

iBuildList is a game-changer for multi-body part designers using Inventor. It saves a lot of time that otherwise would be wasted going up and down the “bodies” folder looking for similar bodies. It is also a good organization tool to help with naming the solid bodies before using Inventor’s “Make Component” feature, which uses the body name as the default part name, thus saving time by not having to rename parts when bodies are exported.

Currently, the tool is prioritized around precision, but if it proves useful to enough other users, more features will come, including increased performance. We are open to feedback and suggestions for improvement.
