My company has been using this program for years now. It only keeps on getting better over time. Open an assembly and run the program to get all of the files you need.

I've been using Pieter's Inventor tools for over ten years now and consider them an essential part of Inventor. Pieter clearly has a thorough understanding of modern manufacturing, his tools save me hours every week. I was very pleasantly surpirsed to find in the latest release that the DXF exporter now trims the bend lines, automating yet another step. Inspired by the words of the late Kerry Packer, if you don't get DXF Exporter you're a bloody idiot! Be sure to look at his other apps too.

Tool looks really good on the presentation. I would like to try use it, but I wonder if it is possible to cooperate with oldest version Inventor 16 ?

This program is an absolute must for anyone working with Inventor sheet metal that needs to be exported for manufacturing. It is very configurable, user-friendly, works very well, and it also comes with excellent support. I cannot recommend it enough to anyone who has the need for it.

thank you for a wonderful tool, never thought i would find something that covers so many of our needs in one package.

the only lacking feature for us is the ability to place files in folders according to material and not just thickness. We have many instances where a project will have both 2mm aluminium and 2mm steel. Currently I have to manually seperate them. basically let me control the folders in the same way as i can control the file names.

completely outside current functionality of the software if you could add IDW>>PDF with the same naming scheme and sorting it would turn this software to the perfect publishing solution for our needs.

This tool saves us a lot of time.
But... Can you add the width and length of the DXF file in the filename?
It is for a simple macro in autocad that insert DXF's back into 1 autocad drawing based on the filename which we need for our laser software. If it is not possible it is also okay, then I need to dive more intro VBA (or iLogic).

At first I had a wonderful experience with this app untill I found a persistant problem with my CNC equipment where certain features would break and I would have to manually fix the paths.

I now know that is becuase my equipment requires R12 dxf format which Inventor can export, however this app does not support R12 formatted dxf files. No time saved, not worth my effort.

This tool has great potential. When it comes to the manufacturing enviroment, it has one shortfall, for me at least. I send My drawings of to suppliers, to laser cut and cnc bend. For laser cutting, perfect. Bending not though. The supplier often request bend angle and direction.  I'll have to then submit in pdf as well. I need a one salution app that include bend file format for tube bending as well as sheetmetal enviroment. At this stage, creating DXF from ipt file has same potential as the app. Otherwise verry conveniant.

This tool is incredibly effective and useful. The customer service responce is even better. Looking forward to using in the future and trying out more tools!

 Exports STEP files, Really like the Bend line edge marks at contour . Helping the guys on the floor  . Great customer service.

Great tool, creating DXFs is noramlly a headache but this is easy to use and saves me a ton of time. recommended.

What functionality is limited with the Free version?

I don't use DXF data that much but it's cool to have it being free. Thank you very much.

The app works great!! but I am concerned about the note: "The app is available as a Full Featured Product for a 15 day period after which Free Mode is enabled with limited functionality." I want to keep full functionality. How can I purchase the full edition?

Overall the software is great. Clean and intuitive interface, lots of features, and integration with Inventor. What I couldn't find is the option to merge dxfs into one file, and ability to change export units. Merging the dxfs would be great option for weldments, when single part consist of multiple sub-components. Changing units is great option, if you design parts in both metric and imperial, but you would like to keep exported dxfs consistent. Also, metric parts cut on US stock materials would show the thickness in inches. Currently I'm using custom macro that can export single parts dxfs from inventor. It is not as advanced as this batch conversion tool, but it meets my needs. I was hoping this tool would be able to merge dxfs for weldments, but maybe on the next update. Keep up the good work!

great tool, works fantastic, saves lots of time. Nothing did disappear as told above. Exporting colors in the layer would be great if included.

Great tool but would be better if you could set the feature colors on export so you dont need to rework the DXF. Also my flat patterns in the model go bye bye after exporting, BIG BUMMER!!!!!!! Will not purchase because of this. *******UPDATE****** Since my original post I have actually gone ahead and purchased this tool because it is very useful and perfect for my application. The customer service was beyond expectation and was a big factor in my decision to purchase. Great work on this app and I look forward to using it daily.
