Note:

• Creating 3D blocks is only possible in a new (not saved) drawing. 
• The "Make 3D block" command is available in drawings with the metric unit system. 
• The MeteorCalc 3D will automatically create all the necessary layers for creating 3D blocks. 
• The base point of the created block will be at the origin point (0 0 0) of the DWG file.

Creating 3D blocks:

Step 1. Open a new drawing with metric units (ISO template). Check the system variables: MEASUREINIT = 1 and MEASUREMENT = 1. 

Step 2. Start the "Make 3D block" command. This command is designed to create 3D blocks for street lighting units. Also, 3D block components not combined into a block can be saved in the current drawing. 

Step 3. In the main dialog box, define the required properties of the created 3D block. In the next dialog box, define the saving mode: complete 3D block or separate 3D components. 

Step 4. Use the "Show 3D properties" command to see descriptions of 3D blocks of street lighting visualization models. Displaying properties is only possible for complete 3D blocks (not for solids as separate components). 

Step 5. Use the created 3D block for visualizing infrastructure projects where the units of length are meters.

For installation of the plugin, you need to log in with the same user name (User account) that will be used for further work with the program. You need to perform the following steps to install MeteorCalc 3D :

MeteorCalc SL installation 

1. Check that you are in the system with the same user name that you will use with the program in the future. Close all Autodesk® AutoCAD®.
2. Start the installation setup file you received.
3. If you accept the end user license agreement,t click the „I agree to the terms in the license agreement“ radio button and press the „Next“ button; 
4. After the finish of installation start AutoCAD, open any drawing, and wait for the installation of the MeteorCalc SL panel on the ribbon and the menu bar.

Note. If there is no program panel on the AutoCAD ribbon, please restart AutoCAD. 

Trusted Locations:

For versions of AutoCAD 2016 and higher, the MeteorCalc loads digitally signed executable modules only.  On first start after installation, a path to the program folder will be added to the Trusted Locations list automatically.  Please allow the program to do this if such a request occurs.
