  • Not 100% working.

It did transfer the view template, but problem is my purpose to copy the setting and filter from the linked model, and if there has been a view template with same names in both linked model and destination model, the add-in does not ask user if they want to overwrite the existing one?

Can you have an option for user to overwrite the existing view template when transfering?

Patrick, You could use pyRevit, with built in extension by Erik Fritz=> EF_Tools / Transfer View Templates. This does the job excellent! Marc

    To link files.

    1) select Insert tab

    2) click Link Revit

    3) Select file to link

Super easy and should work after the link option is completed.

General Usage Instructions : 1. Select a linked document from the dropdown panel. 2. Select/Check the template views from the template views list. (optional to omit filters, by default is included/checked). 3. Click Ok to transfer.
