Auto Dimension Panels - Trial Only
Descripción
This add-in for Autodesk® Revit® creates dimensions automatically for different types of curtain wall panels and basic walls(Metric/Imperial). The free trial limits the number of dimensions, while the full version has no limitations. To purchase the full version, visit 'Auto Dimension Panels' in the Autodesk App Store.
All the dimensions will be placed on the exterior side of the walls. The exterior side is where the double flip arrow appears when you click the curtain wall.

Auto-Dimension:
- Curtain wall panel system family: Dimensions are placed between two sides of system panels.
- Curtain wall panel loadable families: Dimensions are placed between default reference planes, named "Left" and "Right"(or in any other languages available in Revit language options).
- Customise dimension references: if reference planes named "Dim-Left" and "Dim-Right" were placed in the family, it would use these two references to place dimensions, before the default "Left"&"Right" references.
- Curtain wall panel (wall type): Linear dimensions are placed for linear walls. *For curved walls, angular dimensions are placed and the arc length value of the curved wall would overwrite the angular dimension values. the unit of this value follows the project units for length (Manage Tab -> units -> length).
- Curtain wall panel (wall type with sweep): **The host wall of sweeps needs to have an intersection with the view range. For example, the top of the host wall must be equal to or higher than the view range bottom(view depth). *For curved wall sweeps, angular dimensions are placed and the arc length value of the curved wall would overwrite the angular dimension values. the unit of this value follows the project units for length (Manage Tab -> units -> length).
- Door - Curtain Wall (Curtain wall-based door family): Notes are the same as the curtain wall panel loadable families.
- Window - Curtain Wall (Curtain wall-based window family): Notes are the same as the curtain wall panel loadable families.
- Basic wall: Notes are the same as the curtain wall panel (wall type).
- Door/Window (Door/window family in linear wall): Dimensions are placed on the wall openings. For doors/windows on the curved walls, dimensions are not created.
Link-Dimension(For Linked model):
Please turn on the view crop before running this add-in. It will place dimensions for all the valid elements in the selected linked model within the view crop.
Valid types in the linked Revit model:
- Curtain wall panel system family: Dimensions are placed between two sides of system panels.
- Curtain wall panel loadable families: Dimensions are placed between default reference planes, named "Left" and "Right"(or in any other languages available in Revit language options).
- Customise dimension references: if reference planes named "Dim-Left" and "Dim-Right" were placed in the family, it would use these two references to place dimensions, prior to the default "Left"&"Right" references.
- Curtain wall panel (wall type): Linear dimensions are placed for linear walls. *For curved walls, angular dimensions are placed and the arc length value of the curved wall would overwrite the angular dimension values. the unit of this value follows the project units for length (Manage Tab -> units -> length).
- Door - Curtain Wall (Curtain wall-based door family): Notes are the same as the curtain wall panel loadable families.
- Window - Curtain Wall (Curtain wall-based window family): Notes are the same as the curtain wall panel loadable families.
Currently, Link-Dimension cannot place dimensions on the linked basic wall and its door/window. However, linked basic walls as curtain panels in the curtain wall are valid.
