From Version 2.0.0 If you run ElementRenumbering with an already selected elements it will run as Batch Renumber. elements to renumber will be filtered using the current type of element.

Batch Rename Multiple Elements if there is a Selection on Run [Revit 2022 or Higher]
Have already asked Juan!!! Its in Autodesk Store to issue it at this point!!! THIS IS A MUST HAVE ADD ON, as well as, FilterMore! Since we upgraded, we are stuck without it! I KNOW, another reason NOT to upgrade to fast!

Worked like a charm for piles renumbering, would be nice if it had something like skip a number option, because in this job i'm using M001 for male piles and F002 for female piles.

Does a great job. Exactly what I wanted. Only thing I would change is that in the dropdown menu the Element types are not in alphabetical order.
I loved this product in Revit versions 2018 and 2019, but when using it in Revit 2020 there is a bug where I cannot use my keyboard in Revit at all. The keyboard will work in all other programs except Revit which is a huge issue. I would rather manually renumber everything than not be able to type

Awesome for re-numbering windows
A quick free tool for renumbering my detail views. It is simple, quick, and changed the view numbers without any delay or lag. I still don't get why Autodesk hasn't made this ability built in. Thanks for covering up their holes in programming.

Thanks to owner. Just a thing missing for me. Possibility to autocomplete a field into a family. Exemple, i have a 2500 places parking to number...well, it's still 2500 click! It should be great to select objects to number, the direction and validate. (like the dead app. Wiip.revit.numbering)

Works well on Fabrication parts. Is there any way to window select multiple parts and have is iterate through the set, renumbering each item with a unique number?

This app works great, very helpful. I do wish we would be able to put it on the regular addins tab. It creates an extra ribbon tab which is a little bit of an overkill.
Peter, in last version you can use a trick to move addin to general Addin tab. You just have to create, in same folder ass DLL, an empty archive called add-ins.txt. If you are using Revit 2016 just create C:\\ProgramData\\Autodesk\\ApplicationPlugins\\ElementRenumbering.bundle\\Contents\\2016\\add-ins.txt And ElementRenumbering should move from JOTools to Add-Ins. Hope it helps.
I tried the steps Juan explained before and it did move the commands to the Add-ins tab. However, the JOTools tab remains but is empty. Is there a way to remove the empty tab? I'm using Revit 2019.

Very helpful
This add-on is great at what it does. There is however one minor issue. The add-on creates it's own tab across the user interface instead of locating itself in the "add-ons" tab (which is Autodesk policy/recommendation). It's a bit annoying to have an entire tab dedicated to one icon, in an already crowded interface. Fix this and it will be perfect. This add-on also causes "unsigned add-on" warnings.
+1 to using the Add-On tab of the ribbon and eliminating the unsigned warnings. I also agree that otherwise this is a great add-on.
