BIM Model Rule Checker is an Autodesk® Revit® plugin that allows users to automatically run rule checks on their Revit models and instantaneously displays results with errors. A wide variety of custom rules can be checked with the automation feature which includes Pipe slope checks, Workset rules, Mounted element checks and Clash detection rules. This customized plugin on Revit will automatically check your Revit models based on a set of checks and generate a compliance report. Model rule checker provides a separate window for each rule and showcases all CSV format results for easy operability. Several pre-built and pretested check sets are already included for you to use immediately or customize. The model rule checker also supports rule checking for the linked models by fetching models from Autodesk® BIM 360® by allowing the batch run feature for all available BIM 360 files as well as local files.

Some of the popular rules on the BIM Model Rule Checker includes:

• Pipe Slope Checks: This allows users to check the slope for any selected piping systems. Users can add, edit or delete slope rules along with the option to add some tolerance that can be ignored.
• Workset Checks: Workset rules allow users to check each element and find if they are added to the correct workset or not. While using the workset rule, users can select specific elements and expected workset for checking the results. 
• Mounted Element Checks: Users can view if the elements are properly mounted or not on the ceilings and walls. Any error in the mounted elements will be shown by running the mounted element checks, which users can immediately correct with the right mounting of elements. 
• Clash Detection Checks: Clash detection rule checks interference based on the Autodesk® Navisworks® template for various Revit elements from the cloud model and generates associated clash results in NWF format. The rules further export the Revit file in NWC format.
• Batch Checks: The model rule checker also allows batch checks on any selected number of BIM Models (either local or BIM 360 models). Users can execute all configured rules at once on any number of selected models via the batch-run feature with results stored in the target folder.

To use complete functionality please make sure the following are installed:

Prerequisites Navisworks Manage 2021/2022/2023/2024 should be installed on the machine based on the Revit version

Navisworks Export Add-In should be installed in the Revit.
