A terrible user experience, it would have been much faster to translate it all by hand or even with a Dynamo script than having to fix all incosistent and inaccurate results from the plugin. Lets take just a single category, room names for example. Some of them are translated correctly, others have "Translation-" placed in front of the translated value, while in some cases full senteces are returned and written in your rooms names. Sometimes they are in Spanish for some reason (even though it was not the language of choice). There seems to be some default CHAT gpt prompt, causing all of this, as when you pass all the words directly to it (not through the plugin), the results are pretty ok and quite consistent. However, since you don't know this default prompt, you need to be extremely specific and go through a lot of trial and error in order to get something barely acceptable. Other than that, it seems that the tool was tested only in quite small scale projects, as it basically crashes when you set just a single category for the whole model, forcing you to do it for current views and selection only. Last, but not least, there is no option not to export the excel sheet, so you need to specify an excel file on each run. I guess it's ok for really small scale projects and with a specific prompt, defined after after a lot of trial and error, but it's simply not worth even the 40 USD

The add-in was tested on medium and large models, but we will conduct further testing on larger models to ensure its functionality. We will also review whether OpenAI's updates to its AI models have affected Universal Translator's functionality in any way and will adapt accordingly. The export to EXCEL has two purposes: to serve as a log of each translation and to allow the translation to be reverted to its original state. However, if you do not consider it necessary, we will add the option to omit it in the case of automated translation, with the understanding that the translation cannot be reverted, at the user's risk. Our main mission is to provide excellent solutions and the best and fastest post-sales customer service (we are very proud of that). Please add latest Revit version 2025. Also try to add family parameters if possible.
