Do you have a Autodesk® 3ds Max® scene that reports missing plugins when opening or rendering it? Then this script can help you by removing all references to missing plugins.

General Usage Instructions

Open a 3ds Max scene that reports missing plugins, then run the script. There are no further options and it will remove all instances of missing plugins with the first available plugin with matching type. See the MAXScript listener for additional information on missing plugins.

Just run the Autodesk Apps installer to add/remove the tool from the main menu.

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin.

You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the app/plug-in.

To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 7/8/8.1/10) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.

Additional Information

This code is released under "Quote ware" license: If you use this tool in a production environment with a group of more than two people, or have used it in the past under such conditions, then you are obliged to tell me ( about it and allow me to list that project title and your company name as a reference on my website

Known Issues

Use with care! Any missing plugin will be blindly replaced by the first possible candidate. This could result in some drastic changes to your scene. Always review the scene after running this script and always save to a different file name.
