Pillars

Pillars

Win64, English

Oormi Creations
Pillars is a MaxScript for Autodesk® 3ds Max®. It creates 3d models of pillars, columns, railings, fountains and a variety of similar shapes. It also breaks them.

General Usage Instructions

Instantly create a pillar with predefined preset settings by selecting one from the drop down list. You can then further customize it by using above parameters. If you have an Un-Committed pillar, the preset will replace the settings of that pillar. (It will be lost !). The pillars created using presets are similar but not exactly the same. So choosing the same preset again will create a new design.

Currently there are four built in presets - Simple, Fluted, Temple and Fountain. The Simple preset auto loads on running the script.

Additional Information

Known Issues

If you delete an Un-Committed pillar and try to change it via the script, the script will die. Simply rerun the script if this happens.

Sometimes the design has zero radii or the part disappears at some places. Simply click New to get a new one. Try increasing the Outline and Radius values.
