Pick the Select in Drawing check box to select the text manually or uncheck and pick an existing layer in the drawing that is listed in the Layer Selection window.

To place results on a different layer, select the Place on New Layer check box and then select an existing layer from the list. You may create a new layer by picking *New Layer* in the list and type a new layer and set the color. Note: if the check box is not selected, the output will be placed the ‘current layer’ in the drawing session.

Conversion Options:

Select the Create Hatch to convert the text into a filled hatch with no outlines. This will only be visible if the Fill Mode is turned on.

Select the Create Polyline Contour to create polylines from the text.

Set the Vectorization Distance to control the segment distance; the smaller the value used, the sharper the outlines will be. The larger the number input, the lesser the number of vector points that will be drawn for rounded shapes.

Select the Create 3D Text to create 3D solids from the text. The Thickness edit box will activate to enable the user to enter the extrusion/thickness for the solids.

Pick OK to run.

If the Select in Drawing is selected, a prompt appears.

PROMPT:  Select Objects. Pick the text to convert and press <Enter> to finish.

After conversion, if the text does not meet the requirements; run TTCONV3D again and pick the Delete button.

The previous conversion will be erased (3D Solids will not be deleted) and enter new values and pick OK.

The installer that ran when you downloaded this plug-in from Autodesk App Store has already installed the plug-in. To uninstall this plug-in, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features, and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.
