Each project consists of two folders:

1. Project Home Folder: A project corresponds to a folder, which is created and named by the user as the project home folder. It includes an alignment.dwg, multiple topographic maps (*.dwg), and multiple digital terrain model data (*.xyz, *.tin). The topographic map and digital terrain model data are externally referenced by the alignment.dwg to build an integrated alignment design environment. The naming of alignment.dwg should be easy to distinguish, such as “xxx project alignment.dwg”.
2. Project Plotting Folder: You can create a project plotting folder under the project home folder, which can be created and named by the user. It includes drawing convention files, bridges and tunnel data files, and custom property files (such as track spacing, etc.) required for design drawing. The cross-section parameter definition files (*.xdef), the cross-section ground line file (*.xsec can be generated by TIN interpolation), BRT files, the SLP files, etc. are used in the cross-section design. The above files are in text file format and can be edited with Notepad without the need for additional software support. The generated plot results (drawing files) are also in this folder by default.
3. After software installation, start Autodesk® AutoCAD®, and the program will automatically load the LRailplan ribbon menu so that all functions of the software can be used normally.

LRailplan is railway route design software for the AutoCAD platform. The installer is responsible for setting up the application environment.

LRailplan meets the Windows Green Installation Requirements. After self-uninstalling, the uninstaller undoes modifications to the AutoCAD environment. For the files in the installation directory, only the installed program files are deleted, and all files maintained by the user are retained.
