Inserts parametric 2D and 3D objects described in PPM files, which can be easily edited in any text editor.

General Usage Instructions

The "Insert PPM" command allows inserting in document model space a parametric 2D or 3D object, whose appearance and behaviour are described in a PPM file.

Sample files available in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\CADDivision PPM Basic.bundle\Contents\Resources\Sample Files.

Integration with property palette provides a way to change parameters of the inserted object. In addition, some of the PPM files allow to change the geometry of the inserted object by using grip points.


Ribbon/Toolbar Icon Command Command Description

Remove PPM

Removes all parametric 2D and 3D objects that were created from the same PPM file as the selected object.

Reset PPM

Resets selected parametric 2D or 3D object to its initial state. (Restores all parameters and parameter points to default values.)

Insert PPM

Inserts parametric 2D and 3D objects described in PPM files, which can be easily edited in any text editor.


The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin. You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the app/plug-in. To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 7/8.1/10) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.

Known Issues

At this time not all of PPM functions supported by this plugin for Autodesk® AutoCAD®. Please read document that describes PPM language for more information.
