General Usage Instructions
Upon issuing the command syntax SM_GRIDEX at the Autodesk® AutoCAD® command-line, the user is prompted to set a rectangular area defined by two points. Next, the grid is drawn according to the settings from the previous command usage (or default settings if it is a first run after install). And the user is prompted to select one of two options:
Apply - the successful command end (or just press Enter). An AutoCAD object "Group", that contains all of the grid's objects, will be created.
Settings - the user is presented with a dialog interface. Here, cell size, color, "Appearance" and "Mode" can be modified. If required, the user can activate labels, set a text size, text style, select sides for labels. If "OK" is pressed in this dialog, the grid with new parameters will be redrawn. After "Settings" dialog is closed, the user is prompted to select one of two options again.
1. Before drawing more than 50 lines by X axis and/or Y axis, the plugin will show an alert message. If the user presses OK button on such window, the grid will be drawn with the chosen parameters, but, probably, such operation may take more time (processing time depends on objects quantity and hardware).
2. Grid in mode "WCS" can be created just if the grid's plane is parallel to XY plane in World Coordinate System (Z axis of current CS can be only "1" or "-1" for this mode). Otherwise, the error string will be drawn instead of grid lines. Mode "View" has no restrictions. So, feel free to use any plane you want.
Note: for free version of this plugin, option "Apply" can create a "Group" of grid objects just for grid cell 150x150. Otherwise, the user will be shown an alert message. Nevertheless, there is no restrictions for the real-time preview of the grid with any cell size the user wants.

The installer that ran when you downloaded this plug-in from Autodesk App Store has already installed the plug-in. You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the plug-in. To uninstall this plug-in, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 7/8/8.1/10) or Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Windows XP), and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.
The plugin's limitless usage requires the Autodesk® 360 authorization or the offline license (license does not require an Internet connection to check the entitlement for plugin usage). For offline license request code creation, it is necessary to have at least one successful verification for plugin usage via Autodesk 360 authorization.
Without the Autodesk 360 authorization or the offline license, and for a demonstration version of the plugin, it is possible to create a grid just with cell size 150x150. But there are no restrictions for the real-time grid preview. Limitations are just on creation process.
