This plugin allows the user to work with Autodesk® AutoCAD® files on Egnyte server (https://www.egnyte.com/) from AutoCAD. Access files, update them and create new files all from AutoCAD environment.

General Usage Instructions

Steps for using Plugin:

1.Install application using the installer downloaded from store.

2.After installing the application, when you open AutoCAD a menu item is added in the AutoCAD menu named Egnyte.

3.Click on the Open From Egnyte by logging in to the plugin.

4.Enter Domain name of your Egnyte Login and click continue. For e.g. if your site is https://prototech.egnyte.com then input "prototech." without quotes in the input box.

5.Enter your password and press Log in and then click Allow Access.

6. The license agreement window will be shown to you. Choose your preferences and click on accept.

7.After clicking on accept you will be redirected to the Egnyte Plugin Window which has a tree structure of directories present on Egnyte.

8.Select a file in the list box. Press open or double click on the AutoCAD file for opening the file in AutoCAD. When you choose a file and press open the file is downloaded and opened in AutoCAD.

9.For saving a file on the Egnyte Server which is opened in the AutoCAD, click on save as from the AutoCAD Egnyte Menu.

10.When you click on save as, a window is shown to you to enter the file name and press save. The active file in AutoCAD is uploaded to Egnyte server in the folder which is selected in the tree view.

11.If you downloaded the file from Egnyte application and after that you did some changes in the file then for overriding the file with the file present on server, directly press save in Egnyte menu and your changes saved to the file present on server.

12.For uploading PDF of your document to Egnyte server click on Export pdf in the Egnyte Menu in AutoCAD Menu and then Enter File name and your file will be saved to Egnyte server in the folder which is selected in tree of the application.

EgOpenEgnyte

Opens Egnyte main UI to select files in the Egnyte cloud to open them in AutoCAD. Also if not logged in, asks user to login to their Egnyte account.

EgCreatePDF

Saves current DWG file as PDF file in selected folder of Egnyte cloud

EgSaveFile

Saves the current opened Egnyte cloud file to its original location in the cloud.

Save As

Saves current opened DWG file to cloud at a user specified location in the Egnyte cloud.

Installation/Uninstallation

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin.

You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the app/plug-in.

To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 7/8/8.1/10) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.
