DwgSetup App offers two user friendly graphic user interface commands to make drawing setup changes: (1) DDSetup and (2) DDDwgunits

General Usage Instructions

(1) DDSetup: Start the application by typing DDSetup at the command prompt or select from the Autodesk® AutoCAD® Ribbon Plug-ins menu under DwgSetup palette.

DDSetup is used to help the end user to start the drawing process by setting up a variety of environment variables.

It provides a number of options for the user to select from the palette such as:

a) The desired drawing unit (Imperial or Metric)

b) Typical drafting Scales (Architectural or Engineering)

c) Standard sheet sizes (ANSI, ARCH or ISO)

d) Sheet orientation (Landscape or Portrait) and

e) Location to start the drawing (Modelspace or Paperspace)

 

(2) DDDwgunits: Start the application by typing DDDwgunits at the command prompt or select from the AutoCAD Ribbon Plug-ins menu under DwgSetup palette.

DDDwgunits provides a graphic user interface to make all the selections matching the -Dwgunits command:

a) Drawing Units

b) Drawing Unit Display Format

c) Linear Display Precision

d) Scale Objects Upon Other Drawing Insert

e) Match INSUNITS to drawing units

f) Scale Objects in Current Drawing 

g) Scale objects in Current Pspace

DDSetup

DDSetup provides the end user with a graphic user interface to make the following settings: The Measuring Unit (Imperial or Metric), the Construction Discipline (Engineering or Architectural), typical Drawing Scales, typical Sheet Sizes with Orientation (Landscape or Portrait) and to draw the Sheet in Modelspace or Paperspace. DDSetup will change the corresponding AutoCAD system variables to match the settings selected.

DDDwgunits provides a graphic user interface to make all the selections matching the -Dwgunits command

DwgSetupAppsInfo

DwgSetupAppsInfo presents product information along with version history window

Installation/Uninstallation

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin. You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the app/plug-in. To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 8.1/10/11) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.

Additional Information

DDSetup command should be run immediately after a new empty drawing is opened before any objects are drawn.

DDDwgunits command causes the Textscreen window to appear and requires it to be closed manually.

Known Issues

DDSetup command requires AutoCAD's DWG To PDF.pc3 plot device for Paperspace Layout tab page setup to be performed.
