KobiLabs
Kobi Swept Path is a powerful tool for vehicle swept path analysis, designed to ensure safe and efficient manoeuvring in intersections, roundabouts, parking lots, airports, and more.

General Usage Instructions

After the setup, all the commands will be available from the Kobi Swept Path tab on the Autodesk® AutoCAD®/Autodesk® Civil 3D® ribbon. All commands are also accessible through the Kobi Swept Path menus and toolbars.

With the About KobiLabs button from the Kobi Swept Path panel, you can check the version number and activate your license. You can install the latest version with the "Check for new version" button.

On the Kobi Swept Path panel, you can find the Help button, where you can read the User manual with all descriptions of commands.

To initiate the simulation, use the Drive command. Within the Simulation Assistant dialog, you can select a vehicle from the vehicle library, define the driving speed, enable forward and reverse turn predictions, and configure additional settings.
To evaluate whether a vehicle can follow an existing path, use the Guided Drive command.
For evaluating vertical clearance along a path, apply the Vertical Clearance command.
Swept path analyses can be moved or copied using standard CAD commands such as Copy, Paste, or Move.

As the swept path analysis is implemented as a custom object, its attributes - such as line colors, hatch patterns, and other visual properties - can be modified via the Properties Palette.

2026.1.31

In the latest release, we have added support for the 2026 versions of Autodesk® AutoCAD® and Autodesk® Civil 3D®, ensuring full compatibility with the newest Autodesk platforms. New features: - Envelope safety buffer: a powerful feature that adds a configurable margin around the vehicle swept path, helping designers account for real-world tolerances, variability, and safety standards. - Option to specify offset from selected polyline in Guided Drive: Guided Drive now includes the ability to set an offset from the selected alignment. This is particularly useful when simulating vehicle paths along curbs, walls, or striping lines, where clearance and envelope buffer zones must be considered. By applying an offset, you can instantly position the vehicle’s path exactly where it would travel in practice.
