@The Office
Xref Object Manager (XOM) is an AutoLISP application using a dynamic dialog box to present built-in & added operations to manage External Reference Objects displayed both in a Tree and a List view.

General Usage Instructions

Type XOM or select XOM from AutoCAD's Ribbon > Add-ins > XOM panel to start this add-in app.

On the left column of XOM’s main window is the Xref Objects Tree View showing top-level vs nested-level External Reference Objects currently placed in the drawing. Objects selected on this list are automatically highlighted in the Xref Objects List View. The right column of XOM’s main window at the top contains the section Xref Object Operations. Each of the two rows of buttons shown in this section executes an operation on the selected External Reference Object. The currently supported operations are: Attach, Open, Copy, Delete, Unload, Reload, RePath, EqPath, Bind, PType, Rename, and show.

Note: When an operation cannot be executed on the selected External Reference Object the button is disabled.

Below the two rows of Operation buttons contains the following: (1) Selected Xref Drawing Path which contains three rows of text: (a) The first row shows the drawing path of the currently selected External Reference Object, (b) The second row informs if the drawing can be located and (c) The third row shows the current selected External Reference Object’s loaded vs unloaded status. (2) The Xref Objects List View showing all the External Reference Objects the current drawing contains and (3) Button “^” when clicked will allow the user to select an External Reference Object placed in the current drawing for XOM to manage with a total count of External Reference Objects the current drawing contains.

Note: The XOM main window is designed to be a dynamic dialog window. At the time of display XOM’s main window can appear from being a small sized window to a larger-sized window depending on the number of External Reference Objects and the length of their names and or drawing path names contained in the current drawing. In the width dimension the Xref Objects list box at a minimum is designed to display from the smallest width of 70 characters up to the largest width of 130 characters before the External Reference Object / drawing path name is truncated. In the height dimension the Xref Objects list box is designed to display from a minimum of 15 up to a maximum of 45 External Reference Objects before the vertical scroll bar appear. This design in the XOM main window offers the flexibility of appearing less intrusive on the graphics drawing area corresponding to the number of External Reference Objects contained in the current drawing for management.
