ORIS for Autodesk® plugin
Win64, EnglishGeneral Usage Instructions
When you open the plug-in on a Civil 3D design, you can choose between four main commands:
1. The Materials Library: here is where all of the pavement materials specified for the project are stored.
2. 2D Hatching Option: A bill of quantities will be generated for 2D drawings utilizing area/hatching techniques. Each Civil 3D layer corresponds to a distinct option. The plugin aggregates all hatch areas associated with each layer. Users can then specify various materials constituting each option, along with their respective thicknesses. Upon completion of the export process, users are directed to the online ORIS materials intelligence platform for carbon footprint assessment and exploration of production sites.. Personalized material tables can be defined to adhere to company-specific or local design standards and specifications.
3. 3D Solids Corridor: A bill of quantities will be generated for 3D drawings utilizing corridors, baselines, and regions. During the design phase, users can utilize the functionality of 3D solids. They can select a corridor, followed by a baseline and a region, to generate a table of associated 3D solids. Alternatively, they have the option to export all 3D solids within the corridor. Upon completion of the export process, users are directed to the online ORIS materials intelligence platform for carbon footprint assessment and exploration of production sites. Additionally, users can import selected production sites from their project into the Civil 3D drawing. To achieve this, a coordinate system must be defined for the drawing. In the absence of a defined project point, the default project point associated with the coordinate system is utilized.
4. The Pavement Design Library: here is where all the permitted project pavement designs comprising the materials are kept.
All the data is stored on the Civil 3D drawing and can be easily removed if required

Update **A. Bug Fixes:** 1. Updated materials now reflect accurately after deleting a material from ORIS or applying a new design model in C3D. 2. Rectified the relocation of 2D projects following the repositioning of the project point in C3D. 3. Resolved the error message occurrence when attempting to access a project not owned or deleted on ORIS. 4. Addressed the issue where deleting a 3D project could lead to a "no keyfound error" display. **B. Enhancements:** 1. Automatically applies production site search radius based on site type, streamlining the process. 2. Forbidden characters in layer names are now properly displayed in the console for easy identification. 3. Implemented a warning message prompt when users attempt to apply a new design model to an already exported project. 4. Added functionality to duplicate material tables/pavement options from libraries, facilitating project customization. 5. Provided the option to duplicate materials/material layers from libraries, enhancing project management flexibility. 6. Introduced default density settings for each material, allowing customization from the materials library for improved accuracy in simulations and designs. |
