This application on the platform of Autodesk® AutoCAD® allows to create a longitudinal section - profile quickly along the section line.

General Usage Instructions

To build a profile u need to follow steps below:

1. Specify the plan scale

2. Create DTM

3. Specify the profile section line

4. Draw CP

5. Create profile

6. Draw ordinate

Ribbon/Toolbar Icon Command Command Description

QP_ABOUT

Displays a window with general information about the application and developer. The general information includes the name of the application and the current version. To apply to the technical support service for help one should specify the application version.

QP_SCALE

This command is used to specify the plan scale which effects the interpretation of distance from AutoCAD units into meters.

QP_ORDINATE

This command is used to draw an ordinate on the profile. The ordinate is drawn at a specified point on the profile, and the values of the predictable and real ground appear in the profile table.

QP_PROFILE

This command is used to create a profile by means of the “Profile Wizard.” The user specifies a POLYLINE or LINE determining the section line. “Profile Wizard” can be used to select surfaces for determining ground lines, set the view of the profile (scales, reference level etc.) and select the profile table header

QP_CP

This command is used to draw characteristic point (CP) on the plan. If the CP is located on the section line, it will be transferred to an appropriate place on the profile as a vertical line with a caption (ordinate).

QP_DTM

The command is used to create DTM. The user can select layers containing initial entities by which the surface is to be determined. After that, the command determines marks from the selected entities and displays a window allowing to filter the marks received.

Installation/Uninstallation

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin. You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the app/plug-in. To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 8.1/10/11) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.
