DimSuite
Win32 and 64, EnglishGeneral Usage Instructions
DimSuite focuses on dimension operations such as divide, break, and merge dimensions. DimSuite contains 12 useful commands to help Autodesk® AutoCAD® users processing dimensions more freely and quickly:
DSPOLYSEGMENT
DSPOLYSEGMENT will dimension the line segment length of a closed region by picking a point inside it. The position of the dimensions is controlled by parameters in DSSETUP.
DSORTHO
DSORTHO will dimension and gap distance of all lines which are perpendicular to the line going through the indicated two points, it also provides dynamic flipping the dimension direction and positioning them.
DSREVITEQ
DSREVITEQ will perform a REVIT style equal to selected dimensions and automatically label them as EQ.
DSEQUAL
DSEQUAL will prompt users to select dimensions, then it will apply the contents reading from DSSETUP settings to all of them.
DSFIXEXTLINE
DSFIXEXTLINE will prompt users to select dimensions, then it will fix the extension line length according to the DSSETUP settings to all of them.
DSAPPLY
DSAPPLY will ask users to indicate an existing dimension, then use it to dimension a distance, once the dimension is done, DSAPPLY allows users to continue dimensioning based on that new dimension (The same operation applying DSBREAKDOWN to the new dimension).
DSBREAKDOWN
DSBREAKDOWN will prompt users to pick a dimension first, then continuous picking the break points. Once the break point is picked, DSBREAKDOWN will “break” the dimension into smaller dimensions at the breaking point (The picked point will be projected to the dimension line to get the real break point).
DSMERGE
DSMERGE will prompt users to pick a base dimensions, then select dimensions to merge. Only the dimensions collinear with the base dimension will be merged.
DSGAP
DSGAP will prompt users to pick a source dimensions, then it will create the gap dimension at the distance (parameters set from DSSETUP). Once the gap dimension is created, DSGAP will allow users to continue dimensioning based on it (The same operation applying DSBREAKDOWN to the gap dimension).
DSDIVIDE
DSDIVIDE will prompt users the divided number first, then it will divide the picked dimension. Please note that the content of new created dimensions will not be changed to Equal String.
DSPERDIVIDE
DSPERDIVIDE will prompt users to pick a base dimension first, then select lines. If the lines are parallel with the dimension extension line, it will be considered as a break line and the dimension will be break at the line. This is very useful to dimension gap distance of parallel lines.
DSSETUP
DSSETUP is designed to provide GUI to set the DimSuite parameters, totally four control parameters:
 Ext line Scale Factor
In order to make the dimension looks nice, we offer the chance to set the length of two dimension extension lines. Since there might be many dimstyles which may cause different dimension size, DimSuite uses the height of dimtext as reference.
Ext line Scale Factor is the result of the Extension line length divides the dimtext height.
 Gap Scale Factor:
Gap dimension is extra dimension that is shifted from original dimension towards the side where dimension define points are located. It is used to dimension smaller distances.
Gap Scale Factor is the result of the Gap dimension shifting distance divides the dimtext height.
 Equal String
When we divide a dimension, we may prefer to use label EQ instead of the real distance number for easier reading and understanding the concept of equally divided. From here we can set the string. Since command DSEQUAL will apply unique string to selected dimensions without checking if they are really equal, we can set here and use it to label dimension with the content want need.
 Autofix Dimension(s)
This will switch the automatically fix mode (fix the extension line length) that once an existing dimension is indicated, or a new dimension is created.

DSBREAKDOWN
DSBREAKDOWN will break a dimension into two, while if the breaking point is outside the extension line area, it will also work to create continuous dimensions.

DSPOLYSEGMENT
DSPOLYSEGMENT will dimension the line segment length of a closed region by picking a point inside it. The position of the dimensions is controlled by parameters in DSSETUP.

DSEQUAL
DSEQUAL will fill a predefined string (set from DSSETUP) to all selected dimensions.

DSMERGE
DSMERGE will merge dimensions where their dimension lines are collinear.

DSDIVIDE
DSDIVIDE will divide the dimension.

DSORTHO
DSORTHO will dimension and gap distance of all lines which are perpendicular to the line going through the indicated two points, it also provides dynamic flipping the dimension direction and positioning them.

DSPERDIVIDE
DSPERDIVIDE will use the lines which are parallel to dimension extension lines to break the dimension.

DSGAP
DSGAP will generate an extra dimension from existing one and enable continuous breaking of the new dimension. Gap distance between two dimension lines can be calculated from the dim text height (Scale Factor set in DSSETUP).

DSREVITEQ
DSREVITEQ will perform a REVIT style equal to selected dimensions and automatically label them as EQ.

DSFIXEXTLINE
DSFIXEXTLINE will force the dimension’s two extension lines to be the same length, where the length is calculated from the dim text height (Scale Factor set in DSSETUP).

DSAPPLY
DSAPPLY will use an existing dimension to dimension at new position and then enable continuous dimensioning.

DSSETUP
DSSETUP will use the dialog interface to set four basic parameters for DimSuite: Scale Factor for Extension Line, Scale Factor for Gap Distance, Equal string and if always automatically fix the extension lines of dimension.
Installation/Uninstallation
The installer that ran when you downloaded this plugin from Autodesk App store has already installed the plugin in the \ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\KozMos Inc DimSuite.bundle folder. You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the plugin. To uninstall this plugin, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 7/8/8.1/10) or Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Windows XP), and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.
