Database based Batch Process tool with built-in commands for Autodesk® AutoCAD® and Verticals

General Usage Instructions

It is easy to use and comes with many powerful built-in commands, since drawings are processed in database, the time taken to process the drawing is much lesser than editor based batch process.

1. The installer that ran when you downloaded this plug-in from Autodesk Exchange Apps has already installed the plug-in. You may need to restart AutoCAD to activate the plug-in.

 2. The command to launch this tool from command line is “CMT_BID” and user may launch this tool from the Ribbon named "Batch In Database" as well

 3. Adding files to Batch process is explained in the video link BatchInEditor - Adding files to batch process - YouTube

 4. To add built-in commands from availble list of commands, duble click on the command name fom the "Batch Commands" at right side of the this tool

 5. To Add command to file, first select the files from the left pane of this tool and select the commands you plan to run on those selected files and right click on the command selected for batch and choose 'Add Commands To File"

 6. Click the button "Rub Batch" to start the batch operation and the batch operation can be stopped by clicking on the "Stop" button

 7. In situation where the batch operation did not restart automatically after AutoCAD crash or for some other reasons, users will have no information of the current batch status and to restart the batch process manually from where it was terminated, run the command “CMT_RBID” to resume the batch process.

Installation/Uninstallation

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin. You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the app/plug-in. To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 7/8.1/10/11) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.

BatchInDatabase version 4.0 is compatible with AutoCAD 2015 to 2017, version 4.1 is compatible with AutoCAD 2018, version 4.2 is compatible with AutoCAD 2019, version 4.3 is compatible with AutoCAD 2020, version 4.4 is compatible with AutoCAD 2021, version 2022 is compatible with AutoCAD 2022, version 2023 is compatible with AutoCAD 2023 and version 2024 is compatible with AutoCAD 2024. The initial un-registered version comes with the limitation of three files per session to evaluate the application, please register the product to get the full benefit of this tool.
