Wire - Parallel curved wire drawWin32 and 64, English
General Usage Instructions
To run the App, type WIRE and press <Enter> or pick the WIRE icon from the Plug-ins Ribbon Tab (or Add-ins tab).
In the Insulation diameter editbox, type the size or width of the starting wire and will also use when adding additional wires.
In the Drawn Layer, pick an existing layer in the drawing to draw the wire on. You may create a new layer by picking *New Layer* in the list and type a new layer name and set a color. The new layer will appear in the Layer Selection window and will need to be selected.
Pick OK and prompt appear to instruct next steps to draw.
PROMPT: Wire starting point: Pick a point on the screen where the wire is to start.
PROMPT Enter or pick Angle of next point / Undo last point picked: Pick a second point to indicate the angle the wire is to start from. A “rubber band” line is displayed to help in picking the second point. The “pick nodes” and the “direction arrow” are yellow.
Note: The command draws three nodes (and an arrow over them) indicating the direction of the wire at that point. The arrow will be removed after the first redraw, but the three nodes will remain. The center node represents the actual starting/ending point of the wire, the two outer nodes indicate the starting/ending angle. The outer nodes are also the ones to pick to add to a wire.
PROMPT: Pick next point / type M to change number of wires: The first two lines of this prompt indicate the present number of wires the command is set to draw. To draw just one wire pick another point and angle. The wire will be drawn from the last point to the new point.
To draw two or more parallel wires at the same time, type “M” and <Enter> and the following prompts appear:
PROMPT: Number of wires left of center of wire (set at zero value if only 1): Type the number of wires to draw on that side and <Enter>.
PROMPT: Number of wires right of center of wire (set at zero value if only 1): Type the number of wires to draw on that side and <Enter>.
PROMPT: End point: Pick the new end point.
PROMPT Enter or pick Angle of next point / Undo last point picked: Type “U” and <Enter> to undo the previous section or pick a point to indicate the ending angle.
PROMPT: Pick next point / type M to change number of wires: Pick a point to continue with the same number of wires and the prompt will repeat until pressing <Enter>.
If the arrows are still displayed, REDRAW or REGEN to eliminate them.
