Drawing List Manager
Description
- Create and maintain project drawing data in a project database.
- Update title block data from database to title block or from title block to database.
- Export to and maintain drawing data in Excel
The general idea with this app is to supply a tool where all Autodesk® AutoCAD® drawing data (such as drawing number, name, description, etc.) in a project may easily be created centrally and distributed to relevant AutoCAD drawings whenever a user adds a new title block instance containing a drawing number defined by the administrator.
As work progresses, all drawing data is collected and synchronized with the Drawing List Manager database.
All data may be exported to Excel.
IMPORTANT!
Before starting, you must download and install the administrator module on the administrator PC.
Download the DLM Administrator installer and demonstration project files: setupadmin.exe
Be aware that the install executable is regrettably not digitally signed.
Download DLM sample project: Demonstration Project
Download the DLM Administrator Module: Source Code VB.NET
Then use the administrator module to create and save project information and drawing data in a central project file.
For detailed instructions regarding the administrator module: Open the administrator help site DLM Admin Help – Grenov.dk or see the attached YouTube videos.
When a DLM (Drawing List Manager) project has been created, configured, and saved in the top folder of the drawings folder tree, this app will look for title block attribute values in each AutoCAD document. Whenever a specified drawing number attribute tag is found, attribute values in the title block will be synchronized with data in the DLM project file.
The synchronization may run from database to drawing or from drawing to database as configured.
The synchronization may be set to run automatically or manually.
