Have you ever taken a bunch of existing conditions photos and after returning to the office wonder where and even why you took the picture? PhotoGeoDWG will help you manage those existing conditions photos by geolocating them in Google Maps and inserting camera markers into your CAD file. Build albums, automatically import camera markers hyperlinked with the location of the photo image file. Right click a photo name and zoom to the x-y location in your drawing. Click on the photo name and see it displayed conveniently in the palette, or insert the photo directly into the CAD file to better communicate to your field crew.

  • One of the Best Apps
    Seth Cohen | March 15, 2018

One of the best apps ever, works exactly as it says it does, I use it on a weekly basis. Worth the money.

  • Great while it worked

This app works great in versions up to 2015. We are now using 2016 and this app will not install on this version. It would be nice to have it updated to run in 2016/2017 so we can continue using. Other coordinate besides UTM would be helpful as well. Thanks.

Sorry for the inconvenience. We have updates for 2015, 2016, and 2017 on our product site And we will update the exchange download as soon as we can.

Where on the product site is the update for 2016/2017 located? I do not see it anywhere.

  • keine Referenzierung in GK-Koordinatensystem
Roman Lisk | June 06, 2013 Verified Download (What's this?)

Gute App mit kleinen Mängeln welche verbessert werden könnten: 1) kein Referanzierung in Gauss-Krüger-Koordinatensystem 2) keine Ausrichtung der Foto-Blocksymbole anhand gespeicherter Richtung in EXIF-Bildinformationen

  • No support for the angle
Pieter Souvereyns | May 24, 2013 Verified Download (What's this?)

It works integrated in Autocad, but it misses the angle that the picture was taken. So we must keep using the old lisp routine.

  • Directions
Marek Sawicki | March 19, 2013 Verified Download (What's this?)

It would be great if it could add blocks to DWG with the direction of the shots. Some cameras record the azimuth in exif (eg Sony HX20V)

  • No support for geo-tags
Daniel Ashbaugh | February 13, 2013 Verified Download (What's this?)

It would be awesome if it could convert GPS to State Plane on the geo-location of the pictures.

  • Great idea. Almost there...

Very useful app. Great help for the civil designer to better understand my existing condition surveys. The only improvements I would suggest is that photos could insert according to the coordinate system set in the drawing. At the moment it only does UTM so I have to do a map query to get it into my project. Also would be good if the objects inserted on a layer other than "0", say "PhotoGeoDWG" so they can be easily identified/modified.
