Description
Creating architectural details for shop drawings can be particularly long and tedious when it comes to modeling every detail in a room.
The Room Finishing application allows you to automatically create a skirting board or a finished floor all the way around any architectural room.
Just create a type of wall to be used as a baseboard or a type of floor to be used as a finish, select a set of rooms or a single room and the application will create the skirting board and the finish with the proper height.

Enquanto a versão oficial não sai para o 2023, para funcionar façao seguinte:
Entre em "C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\RoomFinishing.bundle\Contents\
Lá, crie uma pasta chamada 2023 e copie dos dados da pasta 2022 para dentro dela.
Com os arquivos copiados dentro da pasta 2023, copie-os novamente e cole em
"C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2023".
Feito isso, quando o revit iniciar, o plugin estará funcionando.

This is the great tool! I am using it for almoust a year now. Thanks for sharing this. For floors is working really smoothly, but for the walls it is not working 100%, so I have to go room by room and if the one is not working - I am adding manually in that one. Can you help with this?

its very helpful addin and save alot of hand work but the problem is if i want to create 2 or 3 layers for wall finishes for example plaster and paint then skirting it take the room Seperate line as reference so my layers will be overlapping.so if you can give as one more Value to give offcet same as in Floor finishes then we can give offcet for each wall layer as we need
This will save me hours of manually "skinning" walls with their respective finishes. Workflow is very easy to understand. Thanks!
Until I found this solution to get it work in 2020. I copied from here "C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\RoomFinishing.bundle\Contents\Sources" this 2 file: "AlignTag" and "AlignTag.dll" to this folder "C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2020".
Now for me it's working fine with Revit 2020.

I Copied RoomFinishes.addin and RoomFinishes.dll and it worked. This files you mentioned dont appear in my folder. Thanks! Great app.

The idea is great but I wonder whether it would be possible to also give the possibility to set the height of the skirting wall by parameter. Doing this it would also serve to create wall finishes? Thanks in advance!

we use this add-in applying a floor finish to a closed room and it saves time. But the finish material doen't seem automatically in the room schedule. İs there any way to see it automatcally in the list ?
I would actually to it in reverse : start by filling in the finish material parameter, then use this parameter to select all room, and use Room finishes to apply the corresponding floor finish.
Quite a handy tool, but I get this error message on revit 2017.2.:"Command is failed for unexpected reason. The curves do not form a closed contiguous loop. Parameter name: curves" Does anybody else experience that? How can I fix this? It works fine with Revit 2016
It seems that the error came from your Revit model, and not the version of Revit. Can you send me you model at simon@bim42.com ? I will have a look at it and hopefully fix your issue !

I agree, but Revit does not have any function to access the doorspace, and I haven't found a solution to retrieve these areas. I keep it in my mind nonetheless !

add-in is working fine except that It does not work if your rooms has a room separator. Hopefully for a fix on this in your future versions

I just uploaded it on the App Store, I'm waiting for the approval from Autodesk.
Our company is using this add-in and our other contractor. Really helps a lot when creating finishes on rooms.

Good idea, but got to be careful as it would appear to change room areas!!!
You can set the finising Wall Bese Offset for 1mm above the room and everithing would be OK with the areas
