Sorts the selected objects, placing them in new layers generated automatically, and sets the properties of these objects ByLayer.

General Usage Instructions

To launch the plug-in, use the command ToLayers.

The following prompts are displayed.

Select objects to classify them by layers:

Specify an object selection method.

ToLayers:

1- Select the objects that have properties different from BYLAYER (for example, objects that have the Color set to red, or the linetype set to DASHED, etc.)

2-  - Analyzes and classifies objects, automatically creates layers and assigned properties equal to these objects.

3- It changes the objects to the new layers, each one to this corresponding layer, which have the same color, linetype, lineweight and plotstyle of the objects that are going to change to them.

4- It sets the properties COLOR, linetype, lineweight and plotstyle of the selected objects to BYLAYER.

For example:

We select some objects that are in a layer called INSTALL and some of those objects have the COLOR property set to 3 (green) and other established color 2 (yellow).

Creates two new layers to be called INSTALL·{CO_3} and INSTALL·{CO_2} on the first layer will be placed objects in green and yellow objects are placed on the second layer.

After the color of all those objects will be changed to color BYLAYER.

Tolayers

Create a shortcut key for the Tolayers command.

Installation/Uninstallation

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin. You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the app/plug-in. To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 7/8.1/10/11) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.
