XrefStates

XrefStates

Win32 and 64, English

Autodesk, Inc.
The XrefStates plugin can be used to simplify the use of multiple Externally Referenced drawings inside Autodesk® AutoCAD®.

General Usage Instructions

This plug-in allows you to store "Xref States" - similar in nature to Layer States - which contain information on the various Xrefs in the drawing: whether each is loaded or unloaded. The Xref States get stored within the drawing and so can be used in future editing sessions. For either the XRS or -XRS command to do something useful, the current drawing must contain one or more external references, otherwise a message ("No external references found.") will be printed to the command-line.

The XRS command launches the main application dialog which manages the creation, deletion and restoration of Xref States in the current drawing. The "New" button can be used to save the state of the Xrefs in the current drawing, providing a name and a description to help with later identification. The "Delete" button deletes a previously saved Xref State. The "Restore" button will take the selected Xref State and apply its settings to the various Xrefs in the current drawing. The "Close" button will close the main dialog. The -XRS starts a command-line version of the XRS command: Enter an option [?/Save/Delete/Restore] : Selecting "?" will list the existing Xref States matching a pattern: Enter Xref State name(s) to list <*>: Selecting "Save" will prompt for the information required to create a new Xref State and will then do so: New Xref State name: Enter a new description: Selecting "Delete" will delete a named Xref State: Name of Xref State to delete: Selecting "Restore" will restore a named Xref State: Name of Xref State to restore:
