Use Excel Autofill to batch edit the Sheet File path, Sheet number, and Sheet title of an existing sheet set file. Multi-language support. The standalone application supports Autodesk® AutoCAD®.

General Usage Instructions

The procedure for batch editing File path, Sheet Number and Sheet Title in an existing Sheet set file is as follows: 

  1. Use this App to open an existing sheet set file.
  2. Click the Export button to partially export sheet set content to Excel.
  3. In Excel, only edit the 3 columns with blue text: File path, Sheet Number, and Sheet Title.
  4. Return to the App, and click the Import button to update the sheet set file with a new File path, Sheet Numbers and Sheet Titles read from Excel columns. Edited sheet set file will be overwritten with backup, or saved as a new sheet set file.

Installation/Uninstallation

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from the Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin.  You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the app/plug-in. To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 7/8.1/10/11) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.

Additional Information

- App interfaces support 7 languages.  However, progress messages are in the text box, and most message boxes are in English.

- Not all characters can be used in the Sheet title and Sheet number. 

These characters are not supported by AutoCAD if users input from the "Rename and Renumber Sheet" dialog: \ < > /? " : ; * | , = `

If users edit the Sheet title and Sheet number from Excel, these characters are still allowed.  However, users should carefully check if any errors may occur for the Sheet set.

Known Issues

1. In some cases, this App cannot connect Excel® in Microsoft® 365 (Office® 365). The NTCL Error message: "Cannot open Microsoft® Excel®" appears right after the app is called.
