This plug-in can be used with AutoCAD® to simplify the process of determining evacuation routes and distances.

General Usage Instructions

To make a calculation of evacuation follow the steps:

• The EXITS are inserted. Command INSERTEXITS.

• The Evacuation is calculated. Command EVACUATIONS.

• The Grid is colored. Command EVACUATIONSCOLOR.

• Directions and evacuation routes are obtained. Command EVACUATIONSARROWS.


You can set defaults values for calculating or color for arrows and lines:

• To change the default application values use the command EVACUATIONSCONFIG.

Ribbon/Toolbar Icon Command Command Description


Sets the default parameters of the application.


Insert the EXITS blocks numbering them.


Calculate the distances from the PTS to their EXITS.


Indicates the direction of evacuation in each PTO or along a path.


Color the calculation results.


Draw the path from one PTO to its EXIT.


The installer that ran when you downloaded this plug-in from Autodesk Exchange Store has already installed the plug-in. You may need to restart Autodesk Product to activate the plug-in. To uninstall this plug-in, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 7/8) or Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Windows XP), and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.

Additional Information

If calculation of evacuation is handled in open plant, then application creates a rectangular closed polyline around the objects in the model space with a little offset. This polyline is created using the values of "extmin" and "extmax" system variables, that stores the lower-left point of the drawing extents and the upper-right point of the drawing extents.
