Planary is an add-on that allows an Autodesk® AutoCAD® user to conduct a feasibility study while using AutoCAD native tools. 

Step 1. Draw site using Polyline:

1. Open a view in AutoCAD.

2. Click the Home tab > Draw panel > Polyline. Draw a site or sites using the Polyline tool.

Step 2. Open Planary and select site:

1. Launch Planary > Click AgileForm tab > AgileForm panel > Planary 

2. Go to Planary browser window > right-click > Add Site > pick a polyline from AutoCAD View. 

3. On the properties window, input site information: site name, zoning, ownership, and site description (optional).

Step 3. Create parametric buildings and lands:

1. To add a building go to Planary browser window > right-click on site> Add New Building (site can contain multiple buildings ) 

2. On the properties window, input the building name. 

3. To add building parts, go to the browser window, right-click on ‘Building’ > Add building part and pick a polyline from the AutoCAD view  

4. When ‘building part’ is selected (select the element from the browser or the 3D view), go to the properties window and input parameters: Name, Number of floors, Floor height (measured from floor to floor), Use, and building section*.

*building section: Type representation of building parts (tower, podium ext.) 

Check or uncheck if the building part area is included in GFA and contains residential units.

5. To add more building parts above (stacked) right-click on ‘building part’ > Add building part.  

6. To add Land go to Planary browser window > right-click on site> Add Land (multiple lands could be added to the site). 

7. uncheck building/site/land to exclude from the calculation (Planary will not export data from unchecked elements).

Step 4. Export data and 3D:

Export data:

File>Export>Excel data file 

Export a preview image:

File>Export>Preview image

1. Download the installation.
2. Run the installer.
3. Sign up at https://agileform.ca/accounts
4. Login and generate a license key.
5. Run the plugin through AutoCAD.
6. Use the generated key in step 4, and press 'Activate'.

To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.
