The DWG Properties Batch Editor is designed to streamline the process of updating properties for multiple DWG files simultaneously, saving you valuable time and ensuring consistency across your projects.

Workflow of the Product

1. Launch the Application:

•  Type "DV_DPR" in the Autodesk® AutoCAD® command line or press the Icon in the Add-in tab to open the Batch DWG Properties.

2. Select Files or Folders:

•  Use the "Add Files" button to select individual DWG files.
• Use the "Add Folder" button to select entire folders containing DWG files. You can choose to include subfolders by toggling the "Include Subfolders" option.
• The selected files will be displayed in the list box. You can remove specific files using "Remove Selected" or clear the entire list with "Clear Files."

3. Enter Property Values:

•  Input the desired values for the properties: Title, Subject, Author, Keywords, Comments, and Hyperlink Base. These values will be applied to all selected files.

4. Process the Files:

•  Click the "Process" button to start updating the properties of the selected files.
•  The application will provide real-time feedback on the processing status of each file.     

5. Review Results:

•  After processing, a summary report will display the number of files successfully updated and any that failed.
•  If there are errors, a detailed error report will be generated in a temporary Notepad file for your review. This file will auto-delete if not saved, keeping your disk space clean.

The installer that was run when you downloaded this app/plugin from the Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plugin. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin. You may need to restart your Autodesk product to activate the app/plugin. To uninstall this plugin, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, and simply rerun the installer and select the "Uninstall" button. OR click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 10/11) and uninstall as you would any other system application.
