SimplyEx enables AutoCAD users to extract and export properties of selected entities directly to Excel. The workflow is straightforward:

1. Preparation: Open Excel before starting the export process.

2. Selection: Select the AutoCAD objects you wish to extract data from.

3. Command Execution: Run one of the following commands:

• EXPORTEXCEL or EXX: Standard export with configuration dialog

• QUICKEXPORTEXCEL or QEXX: Quick export using previously saved settings

4. Configuration (for standard export):

• • Choose which properties to extract from the available properties list

• • Select the ordering method (by X/Y/Z coordinates or original selection order)

• • Specify how to separate data (by layer, color, or no separation)

• • Toggle column headers on/off

• • Preview the data extraction before confirming

5. Target Cell Selection: Click on the Excel cell where you want the data to begin exporting.

6. Data Export: The plugin extracts the properties and writes them to Excel, maintaining the selected order and organization.

7. Efficiency Features:

• • Quick export option (QEXX) uses your last saved settings without showing the configuration dialog

• • Preview panel shows how your data will appear based on the current settings

The plugin handles both 2D and 3D objects, supports special property extraction (coordinates, areas, moments, etc.), and provides flexible ordering options to accommodate diverse drawing types and export needs.

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. Or, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin.

To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 10/11) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.
