Instructions for Adding BlackSmithSoft AWP to an Autodesk® BIM 360®/Autodesk Construction Cloud Account:
ACC/BIM 360 Admins can find the BlackSmithSoft AWP in Account Administration under the “Apps” tab. Select to add to your BIM 360 Account. Your BlackSmithSoft AWP Integration is now active in BIM 360.
Step 1: Connect your schedule. Go to Connectors on the left-hand panel, and select Schedule. Click on Select Files, select the schedule you want to use, and then click on Start Upload. We support XER and XLSX file formats.
Step 2: Connect your models. Go to Connectors on the left-hand panel, and select ACC Models. You will be asked to Authorize the system to access your ACC account. Based on your access rights, you will see the folders and models you have access to. Select the one(s) you want. Models can now be viewed by clicking on Models on the Project space on the left-handle panel.
Step 3: Create the CWA. Go to the WBS area on the left-hand panel, and select CWAs. Click the ‘+’ button at the far right-hand corner, and fill out the info of your first CWA. Every CWA must have one or more CWPs.
This is a good time to also select which parts of your models will be used in your CWA, by clicking on the Models button in the top right-hand corner of the CWA screen.
Step 4: Create some CWPs. Go to the WBS area on the left-hand panel, and select CWPs. Alternatively, you can also create a CWP from the CWA screen by clicking Add. It is critical to put when you are planning to start and finish execution, and the parent CWP.
Step 5: Create some IWPs. Go to the WBS area on the left-hand panel, and select IWP. Alternatively, you can also create an IWP from the CWP screen by clicking Add. IWP must be linked to an activity on your schedule.
Step 6: Assign model elements to your IWP(s). Under the Progressable Objects tab in the IWP, select the model elements you want to put into your package, Click Assign and add them to a template.
