Civil Designer BIM-Bridge
Win64, EnglishGeneral Usage Instructions
Civil Designer BIM Bridge is a background application that can be interacted with via the system tray. It appears as a tray icon featuring the Civil Designer logo in front of a cloud.
- Right-clicking the tray icon and select the "ACC" option.
- Upon selection, the application attempts to recover existing login credentials. If none are found, the default browser will launch the ACC login screen and allow you to log into your ACC account.
- After a successful login, the user is redirected back to the application, completing the authentication process.
- Login credentials are cached securely between program restarts. This means that logging in may not be required every time the application starts. However, if the credentials have expired, the user will need to log in to ACC again.
- Once authenticated, Civil Designer manages the connection with the application.
Connecting a Civil Designer Project to an ACC project:
- Run Civil Designer
- Locate the Control Centre on the left of your screen. Click on the "Issues" pane and pin it so that it is always visible.
- Select File > BIM Setup > CDE Setup from the Civil Designer main menu, to display the CDE BIM Setup dialog:
- Select the appropriate ACC project from the "Selected" list box and press OK
- Your Open Civil Designer project will now be linked to your ACC project, and you will be able to see the Issues listed in the Control Bar.
When a reviewer adds or edits Issues in ACC, the Civil Designer users will be notified of these changes via the Issues bar in Civil Designer. Civil Designer users can then update Issues via the Issues bar inside Civil Designer, notifying the Reviewers using ACC.
