Getting Started with OpenSpace for Autodesk Construction Cloud®

Step 1: Enable the Integration

Connect OpenSpace to your ACC Build project.

1. In your OpenSpace project, navigate to Settings > Integrations.
2. Locate the Autodesk® ACC Build integration and enable it.
3. Authorize the connection by signing in with your Autodesk credentials when prompted.
4. Map your OpenSpace project to the corresponding ACC Build project.

Step 2: Sign In with Autodesk SSO

1. Use your existing Autodesk credentials to access OpenSpace — no separate account needed.
2. On the OpenSpace sign-in screen, select Sign in with Autodesk.
3. Enter your Autodesk ID credentials.
4. Grant the requested permissions to complete the connection.

Step 3: Access the ACC Build Partner Card

View OpenSpace 360° reality capture data directly within ACC Build.

1. Open your project in ACC Build.
2. Navigate to the Project Home or relevant module.
3. Locate the OpenSpace Partner Card to see recent captures, BIM comparisons, and project progress at a glance.

Step 4: Import Your Autodesk Models

Overlay BIM models on your OpenSpace captures to compare as-built conditions against design intent.

1. In OpenSpace, go to BIM > Model Import.
2. Select Import from Autodesk and choose the model(s) from your connected ACC project.
3. Align the model to your floor plan and begin comparing design vs. reality.

Step 5: Link Field Notes to Autodesk RFIs and Issues

Bring visual context from the job site directly into your ACC workflows by linking OpenSpace Field Notes to RFIs and Issues.

1. Open the Field Note in your OpenSpace project.
2. Select Integrations > Autodesk Construction Cloud.
3. Choose your workflow:
   1. Link to a new RFI/Issue: Select Link new RFI or Link new Issue, fill in the required fields, and select Create and link.
   2. Link to an existing RFI/Issue: Select Link existing RFI or Link existing Issue, search for and select the item, then select Link to Autodesk Construction Cloud.
4. OpenSpace will automatically generate a Field Note PDF report — including images, floor plan location, and visual context — and attach it to the ACC RFI or Issue.
5. To view the linked item in ACC, open your Field Note and select Integrations > Autodesk Construction Cloud > View RFI/Issue in Autodesk Construction Cloud.
