Pre-requisites for Using the Application:

Before end users can fully benefit from the application’s compliance tracking features, the following setup steps must be completed by designated ACC Project Administrators.

Note: “ACC Project Administrators” refers to users who have Project Administrator access within the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) project.

1. Project Registration for Compliance Tracking

It is highly recommended that ACC Project Administrators first log in to the application and register their project using the “Register your project for Naming Convention Tracking” feature.

This step enables the system to track file uploads for ISO 19650 naming compliance.

Without project registration, end users will not be able to see the naming compliance status of uploaded files in the ACC.

2. Creation of the “Naming Validation Status” Attribute

ACC Project Administrators must manually create a custom attribute of type drop-down list, with the name “Naming Validation Status” within the ACC project with the following values:

Compliant

No Compliant

This “Naming Validation Status” attribute then must be added to the document table view.

This attribute will be automatically updated by the application upon file upload, reflecting whether the file name complies with ISO 19650 standards.

3. Admin-Only Access for Project Registration

Only users with Project administrator access can perform project registration in the IMPARARIA Document Register app

Regular project members do not have access to the “Register your project for Naming Convention Tracking” functionality.

Use Case 1: ACC Project Administrator Setup Workflow

This workflow outlines the steps that must be performed by an ACC Project Administrator (i.e., a user with Project Administrator access in Autodesk Construction Cloud) to configure the project for file name compliance tracking using the IMPARARIA Document Register App.

Steps:

1. Log in to the IMPARARIA Document Register App
   Sign in using your Autodesk credentials.
   
   
2. Select a Hub and Project
• From the left-hand panel, select the appropriate Hub.
• Choose the desired project from the dropdown associated with the selected Hub.
  
  
3. Register Your Project for Naming Convention Tracking
• Click the "Register your project for Naming Convention Tracking" button.
• This enables compliance tracking for file name validation within the selected ACC project.
• This functionality is available only to users with Project Administrator access.
  
  
4. Log in to the ACC Console
• Open Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) in a new tab and navigate to the same project.
• Open the Docs module.
  
  
5. Create a “Naming Validation Status” Attribute
• Go to Settings > Attributes within the ACC project.
• Create a custom attribute named "Naming Validation Status".
• Set the attribute type as Dropdown, with values:
• Compliant
• Not Compliant
  
  
6. Enable Attribute Visibility
• Ensure the "Naming Validation Status" column is added to the document table view so that all users can see compliance results.
  
  
7. Upload a File in ACC Docs
• Upload any supported file (e.g., PDF, Revit, IFC) into the project folders.
  
  
8. Compliance Evaluation
• The app automatically evaluates the uploaded file name for ISO 19650 compliance.
• It then updates the “Naming Validation Status” attribute in ACC.
  
  
9. View the Result
• The compliance status is reflected both in:
• The ACC Docs interface (under the custom attribute column).
• The IMPARARIA Document Register App.

Use Case 2: General ACC User Workflow

This workflow is for regular project users who upload, view, and verify file naming compliance within an ACC project. 

Steps:

1. Log in to the IMPARARIA Document Register App
   Use your Autodesk credentials to sign in.
   
   
2. Select a Hub and Project
• Choose a Hub from the left panel.
• Select your project from the dropdown menu.
  
  
3. View Project Files
• Files are displayed in a flattened table view (no folder navigation).
• Key metadata is shown in a clear, structured format.
  
  
4. Check Compliance Status
• In the “Compliant” column, each file is marked as:
• (Correct sign) - Compliant — file name follows ISO 19650
• (Cross sign)- Not Compliant — file name violates the standard
  
  
• This compliance check is performed within the app and is visible to all users, regardless of project registration status.
• Note: If the project has not been registered for tracking using the “Register your project for Naming Convention Tracking” option:
• The compliance result will not sync to ACC Docs.
• The "Naming Validation Status" attribute in ACC will remain blank.
  
  
5. Upload a File via ACC Docs
   • Log in to ACC, open the relevant project’s Docs module, and upload a file.
     
     
6. Compliance Status Update
   • If the project is registered, the app automatically updates the: "Naming Validation Status" attribute in ACC & "Compliant" column in app

• Search for Files - At the top-right corner of the table, use the search box (first icon) to quickly filter files by name in real time.
• View ISO 19650 Naming Rules - Click the Info icon (second icon from the search box) to open a panel displaying the ISO 19650 naming convention rules used for validation.
• Download Compliance Report - Click the Report Download icon (third icon from the search box) to download a static Excel report of the files currently shown in the table. Show or Hide Table Columns.
• Show/Hide Columns - Click the Show/Hide Columns icon (fourth icon from the search box) to configure which columns are visible in the table based on your preferences.
• One demand compliance Check - Select the file & Click on "Check Compliance" (icon next to search box) to validate if the file name is compliant or not.
