Plant Vision for Autodesk Construction Cloud®
, EnglishGeneral Usage Instructions
Autodesk Construction Cloud®/ Autodesk® BIM 360® Admins can find the Plant Vision in ACC/BIM 360 Account Administration under the “Apps” tab. Select "Add to BIM 360" to add it to your account.
Plant Vision starts with a seamless sign-in process using your Autodesk credentials, giving you secure access to your ACC projects.
Upon logging in, your personalized dashboard displays the same list of projects you have access to in ACC. Plant Vision stays in sync with ACC at all times. For instance, when an Autodesk® AutoCAD® Plant 3D™ model is updated and uploaded to ACC, Plant Vision automatically detects and indexes the new files, ensuring you always have the most current project data at your fingertips.
Once inside a project, the intuitive sidebar provides instant access to Plant Vision’s powerful palettes. Each palette can be docked, floated anywhere in your view, or popped out entirely to a separate monitor, all while staying synchronized with your project workspace.
Here’s a closer look at the key palettes that make Plant Vision an essential tool for your team:
Asset Palette
Searchable and comprehensive, this palette lists all the assets in your project. Quickly locate an asset and see every location it’s referenced—across drawings, models, and documents.
Project Files Palette
Get a familiar folder-style view of your project’s file structure. Search and open models directly in the Autodesk Viewer without ever leaving Plant Vision.
Related Files Palette
Automatically shows all files that reference the asset you’ve selected. No more hunting—just select an asset, and all related files are at your fingertips.
Properties Palette
View complete, unified information about any asset. Whether it's design data, metadata, or custom fields, everything is brought together in one place.
When you search for and select an asset in the Asset Palette, Plant Vision brings it into focus. The Related Files Palette instantly updates with all associated drawings and models. Click on any reference—like a P&ID or 3D model—and the Autodesk Viewer zooms directly to that asset. Meanwhile, the Properties Palette displays all relevant information entered by your design team.
Need to verify a detail in a vendor’s PDF? Just click to open and confirm—right when you need it.
And then there’s the Data Manager:
A powerful tabular view of all data associated with your project’s assets. Review all information in one place, and soon you’ll be able to push updates back to Plant 3D directly from the Data Manager. Upcoming features will allow you to generate reports and data sheets from this view, turning your project data into actionable insights.
Plant Vision is built to work the way you do—fast, flexible, and focused on clarity. Whether you're designing, coordinating, or reviewing, it keeps your entire team connected to the data they need, exactly when they need it.
