NOTE: The BCF Export Beta program is currently not available for new beta testers. We're collecting feedback from the first phase and will update here when a new version is released. Please check this page again in a few months.

 

BCF (BIM Collaboration Format) is an open file format that simplifies collaboration between different parties by allowing them to exchange issues data, as well as images, comments, statuses, and model elements that relate to the issue.

This app exports issues from Autodesk® BIM 360® Document Management into BCF format (v2.1). You can upload the 3D model into a design tool and use a BCF plugin to import the issues and render the issues data. Note that the BCF plugin needs to support BCF 2.1.

    When will this functionality be available?

    I'm using BIM360 Model Coordination with a model with linked models. We are really missing the functionality of navigating to the issues in Revit... now it's taking a lot of time to select the IDnumber of the issue and search for it in Revit.

    Hi Sandra, a workaround will be that you export your issues to bcf format and upload it to BIMcollab an then just syncing revit to BIMCollab by BCFmanager or just select your bcf file by using bcf manager. A really fast process. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYYc1KHYGhg ; Regards, Victor

    BIM is about cooperation - and now this format can be used in revti , navsiworks and should as fast as possible given to BIM 360

    When will this tool be available?

    BCF Export is essential. Without that feature, Issue management in BIM360 is not convincing.

    We tested this APP in a live Project. It worked very well, so why not offering this this feature?

    Hello, when do you plan to release the new version?

    We cannot use BIM360 in our markets because a lot of Client ask for CDE platform that use BCF also. So if BIM 360 cannot do BCF, we have to look for other platforms than Autodesk ones.

    An essential tool for BIM 360. Unfortunately a lot of features are still missing and there seem to be no updates for this app.
