Cadgen Quick Polyline

Cadgen Quick Polyline

Win32 and 64, English

Cadgen Software LLC
Draws automatically trimmed and filleted polylines and splines between blocks.

General Usage Instructions

These tools are intended to supplement the Autodesk® AutoCAD® drawing tools and speed up repetitive design tasks. The resulting entities are normal polylines and splines that are created on the active layers using the user's active property settings. On a large scale drawing with hundreds of blocks that all need interconnecting paths shown, using the CGQUICKPOLY command to draw, fillet and trim polylines with only 2 mouse clicks can exponentially decrease the amount time it takes to produce a drawing.

For situations where each vertex must be chosen by the user, the CGPOLY command offers the benefit of automatically trimming and filleting the start and end vertex where there are intersecting blocks.

To control the automatic trim, blocks on locked layers are ignored. This is useful where there might be background blocks placed that might interfere with the auto trim functionality.

Blocks must be set at a 0.0 elevation for auto trim to find the intersecting edge.

Commands

CGQUICK_SPLINE

Draw a spline by selecting 2 blocks. An automatic spline is drawn. The endpoints of the spline are created in the center of the bounding rectangle for each block, excluding text and attributes. Then the spline is trimmed at the outermost intersecting block entity.

CGPOLY

Draw a polyline by selecting all vertices. The polyline will be trimmed to the intersecting edge of any block that contains the first or last vertex, and filleted with an optional radius.

CGQUICK_POLY

Draw a polyline by selecting 2 blocks. An automatic orthogonal polyline is drawn and filleted with an optional radius. The endpoints of the polyline are created in the center of the bounding rectangle for each block, excluding text and attributes. Then the polyline is trimmed at the outermost intersecting block entity.

CGSPLINE

Draw a spline by selecting all vertices. The spline will be trimmed to the intersecting edge of any block that contains the first or last vertex.
