Take your drawings to the next level with CMI Pipe Interference Check for Gravity Networks and Pressure Networks.

General Usage Instructions

Select Networks for Comparison:
All networks selected on the left will be compared against all networks selected on the right. Pick a few or pick them all.

Clash Type [Hard/Clearance]
When Hard is selected, only objects that physically touch will be included in the results. When Clearance is selected, objects that physically touch will still be included, and objects that are less than the provided Distance value from each other will also be included. The results will always indicate Hard/Clearance for each clash, and Clearance results will include the actual distance between the objects.

Enable Self-Clash Check [checkbox]
When unchecked, any network that is selected on both the left and right sides will not be checked for internal clashes. When checked, every object in each of those networks will be compared to every other part of that same network when checking for clashes.

Results Window
Detected clashes will be shown here. Actual clearances will always be shown to five decimal places in this window.

Results Window - Export to .csv
Selected (checkmarked) results will be exported to an external .csv file. Choose the desired location and filename to save to.

Results Window - Zoom To
Zooms to a window that includes all selected (checkmarked) results.

Results Window - Add Marker
Add a custom marker to the selected (checkmarked) results. These markers use a custom Autodesk® Civil 3D® Style on a custom layer, so they can easily be selected, isolated, or deleted all at once. After running CMI Pipe Interference Check once, modify the properties of the Style and/or Layer to retain custom settings for the current drawing. Precision on labels with Clearance values will follow the drawing's Ambient Settings.

Note: Because these markers use text overrides on each label, the override glyphs will show by default. These can be hidden using the command HIDELABELOVERRIDEGLYPHS.

Label Pipes (separate command)
Use checkmarks to select which properties to include. Choices will be remembered next time the command is run. Click OK or press Enter to begin. Click the location on each pipe you want to label, and press ESC to finish.

Note for Selection Method: Single-click labels the pipe as soon as you click on it, where you click on it. "Pipe first, then reference point" lets you pick the pipe you want to label, and then choose a second point as the reference for which part of the pipe you want labeled. This can be useful when trying to use certain object snaps or other reference objects.
