General Usage Instructions

Click the AutoRebar icon button to load the plugin and visualize dynamic AutoRebar objects.

Create your drawing using dynamic AutoRebar objects.

Use either the BBS command to generate the Bar Bending Schedule.

Use either the ExplodeSel or the ExplodeAll command to explode your dynamic AutoRebar objects into standard Autodesk® AutoCAD® entities and distribute your drawing to other users with no need to install AutoRebar on their computers.

Palette

Opens the AutoRebar Palette. Command line prompts are skipped if the required data is provided by the Palette.

Creates a Loop object (circular stirrup)

Creates a Spiral object

Creates a Rebar object bent into the shape of a chair

Crosshair

Creates a Crosshair object (cross section of a rebar)

linCrosshairs

Creates a set of crosshairs arranged in a straight line

cirCrosshairs

Creates a set of crosshairs arranged in a circle

arcCrosshairs

Creates a set of crosshairs arranged in an arc

offLinCrosshairs

Creates a set of offset-to-cover crosshairs arranged in a straight line

Edit

Edits the properties of AutoRebar objects such as Rebars, Crosshairs, Marks, and Callouts. A double click on the AutoRebar object also activates this command.

Append

Appends an extra vertex to the specified end of a Rebar object

Remove

Removes the specified end from a Rebar object

EditScale

Edits the scale property of multiple AutoRebar objects included in the selection

ExplodeSel

Explodes the AutoRebar objects included in the selection into standard AutoCAD entities.

ExplodeAll

Explodes all the AutoRebar objects in the current drawing into standard AutoCAD entities.

Mark

Creates a new Mark object. Marks are referenced by the BBS for scheduling and quantity take-off.

Callout

Creates a new Callout object linked to a Mark. Unlike Marks, Callouts are not considered for scheduling and quantity take-off.

TraceLinks

Shows arrows that indicate the data links established by all AutoRebar object within the drawing

HideLinks

Removes the arrows drawn by Trace Links

RemoveGaps

Removes any gaps in the numbering sequence of Marks that share the same tag.

TraceConflicts

Shows arrows that indicate whether any conflicts exist between linked AutoRebar objects such as multiple Marks that have identical tag and number but are linked to different Rebar objects

HideConflicts

Removes the arrows drawn by Trace Conflicts

BBS

Creates or updates the global Bar Bending Schedule from all the Marks in the current drawing

BarList

Exports scheduling data to CSV file (Comma-separated Values) from all the Marks that are present in the current drawing.

selBBS

Creates a BBS from the Marks in the selection set

selBarList

Exports a Bar List from the Marks in the selection set

arLicense

Activate any of your AutoRebar licenses on this computer or Unlock it to make it available for activation on another computer.

Installation/Uninstallation

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from the Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin. You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the app/plug-in. To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 7/8.1/10/11) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.

Additional Information

Not suitable for Autodesk® AutoCAD LT®.

Known Issues

Batch plot requires the "Publish in background" option to be off.
