Cadgen Quick Label
Win32 and 64, EnglishGeneral Usage Instructions
Cadgen Quick Label is designed to efficiently manage labels on block references. Block references can be added to multiple groups with auto-sequenced numbering, as well as assigned with unlimited custom property labels. All labels are added to normal user defined block references through the use of a specifically named multiline attribute. The contents of the attribute is managed by the application.
To facilitate block placement, a customizable block palette is available. Features of this palette include automatically adding the multiline attribute required by the application to the block definitions, and features to keep the attribute level as the block is placed and rotated in one step.
To summarize how this application might be used and fit into a user's workflow, please see the following steps-
- The user can use the default included symbols on the block palette, or browse to a drawing file that contains their desired block definitions. The blocks will be imported to the palette and ready for use.
- Use the block palette to place new block references, and insert and/or copy the new block references throughout the drawing.
- Use the Add/Edit Property commands to add unlimited named properties on the block references by editor selection, to indicate properties like location, model number, voltage, current, or virtually any property that might apply to the drawing project.
- Use the group palette to create named groups, and then use Add/Insert/Remove Entities to sequentially add block references to as many groups as necessary to create labels that might indicate, for example, a lighting circuit, a door alarm circuit, or any possible application required.
- Use the Set Visibility function to toggle visibility for named properties that may not need to be printed or visible.
To import and export label and group data to and from Excel or CSV format, including unit lengths between grouped devices, please check out the Cadgen Data and Attribute Import/Export Utility.
