1) Once installed, Data Shortcuts Assistant saves the Working Folders information of Projects (in xml files) that the user has connected to, historically or currently. These will be viewable by clicking the calendar. It is important to allow for at least a day after installation as this tool only starts saving the xml files after using Data Shortcuts in Autodesk® AutoCAD® Civil 3D®, otherwise the interface's history is empty except on the current day.

2) Launch the Data Shortcuts Assistant from the ribbon using the first icon. The dialog box interface will then show up with the records of Working Folders and their respective DataShortcuts Folders. As the days progress, the user can click on the calendar from the previous days to check the Project's Working Folders the user has already used. Any historical Working folder that the user may set as current will be imported in the current Day as well.

3) The user can the click the button 'Set and Exit' to set the Working Folder for a project. This will close the dialog box and set the chosen Working Folder as current in the Toolspace of Civil 3D

4) Search Data shortcuts history by using the second icon from ribbon, or from the main interface which also provides a search button.  Type any word(s) associated with any previous project in the search box and get results fast. Results are displayed as the user pauses typing for at least 500milliseconds. If the search box is empty, it grabs the last 5 days of history and displays the results. Select and double-click in the results box to set a Working Folder/Data Shortcut folder as current.

Allow for at least a day after installation as this tool only starts saving Data Shortcuts xml files after using Data Shortcuts in Civil 3D, otherwise the interface's history is empty, except on the current day.

All saved DataShortcuts history are private to the user only. The files are xml files stored in the user's profile in Windows Roaming folder.

For Team-based DataShortcuts history, this will be considered in a future release. The Team-based history will be optionally shared to the team as this will be stored in a local network location.

In the event of a computer where this app is installed is being re-built or the hard disk needs re-formatting, the user should not forget to make backup copies of the xml files in windows Roaming folder: "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Nested.Objeks\DataShortcutLogs". It is the responsibility of the user to backup these xml files into an external storage.
