Manage Data Sources Click the "Manage Data Sources" button to select a GeoDin® database. A sample database is provided for your convenience.
Open the Location Selector Click the ribbon item "Select Data" to open the Location Selector. Within the Location Selector, you can:
- Select your data source (database)
- Choose your project within the database
- Select all the boreholes you want to draw in Civil 3D
Show Documents In the Location Selector, you can view documents attached to the boreholes by:
- Clicking "Show All Documents", or
- Clicking the Documents icon next to a borehole
Select Boreholes Use the selection options in the Location Selector to filter and choose the boreholes relevant to your project.
Draw Boreholes After making your selection, click the "Draw Boreholes" button to insert them into your drawing.
Close the Location Selector Once the boreholes are drawn, you can close the Location Selector.
Draw Surfaces and Volumes Click the ribbon button "Draw Surfaces and Volumes". After clicking, you can select all boreholes that should be considered for surface and volume generation.
Create Virtual Logs You can create virtual logs (artificial boreholes) to refine your model. There are three options:
- Empty Virtual Log: Create a log from scratch without any predefined layers.
- Based on Nearest Borehole: The lithological layers of the nearest borehole are used as the base for the new virtual log.
- Based on Surfaces: Place the virtual log onto an existing volume and surfaces. The virtual log will intersect the surfaces and volumes, creating layers based on the interfaces between the surfaces.

Installation/Uninstallation
The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from the Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. or, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin. You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the app/plug-in. To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. or, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 10/11) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.

Known Issues
Virtual logs are currently supported only in Civil3D Metric.
