Steel2K is designed to fit naturally into your existing AutoCAD drafting workflow. Instead of manually drawing structural steel sections, simply launch the Steel2K command, select the desired steel shape, choose the size and view, and place the shape directly into your drawing.

The inserted shape can then be rotated, dimensioned, hatched, annotated, or incorporated into larger fabrication, shop, or construction details using standard AutoCAD editing tools.

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from the Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin. You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the app/plug-in. To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 7/8.1/10/11) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.

NOTE: If the software was purchased by someone else in your organization and the purchaser is not the actual user, the application will start in licensed mode with a 15‑day pre‑activation period, allowing you to install and use the software before activation is required.

During this period, the software operates normally. A notification will display the remaining days available before activation is required.

Activating Your License

When you are ready to activate the software:

1. Open a new or existing AutoCAD drawing.
2. Start Steel2K and select Activate Now.
3. The SoftDraft Activation dialog will display your unique License Code.
4. Copy the License Code and email it to support@softdraft.com along with the purchaser's name and company name.
5. A License Key will normally be returned within one business day.
6. Copy the License Key into the Activation dialog and select OK to complete activation.

If an Incorrect License Key message is displayed, please contact SoftDraft Technical Support for assistance.

To help avoid typing errors, we recommend copying and pasting both the License Code and License Key rather than entering them manually.

This version of Steel2K is designed for the full version of Autodesk AutoCAD and compatible AutoCAD-based vertical products.
